Synopsis: Sweet and loving Mariel (Sharon Cuneta) falls in love and marries Edward (Christopher de Leon), an embittered businessman who raises his kids alone after his ex-wife suddenly left them. As Mariel moves in with Edward's family, she struggles to win the favor of Edward's children who face their own dilemmas of growing up with a single parent. On top of that, Mariel also finds difficulty in taking over a household that continues to carry the tradition of Edward's first wife and adjusting to the demands of a domineering husband. Mariel perseveres and copes with her new situation but how long can she carry on and continue to love and care without expecting anything in return?
